  • Overview

    Prepare accurate and timely mortgage loan disclosures for all mortgage applications to comply with regulation standards.  Handle all mortgage lock requests in a prompt and courteous manner with accurate and timely disclosures.  Provide basic information including current interest rates, loan to value limits, etc.  Assist mortgage personnel with timely delivery of regulatory disclosures.  Assist the mortgage support team with set-ups of new files, cancellation of files, mortgage system daily tasks, as well as other clerical functions as assigned.  Responsible to coordinate schedule with disclosure and lock team to provide support of such staff as needed.  Complete assigned reports, tracking of stats and accurately and timely as assigned.

    Responsibilities

     

     

    1.       Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of mortgage loan disclosure team.

     

     

    a.     Mortgage disclosures team functions are efficiently, effectively and accurately performed in accordance with established policies, standards, and security procedures.

     

    b.     Responsible to provide accurate mortgage loan disclosures for all mortgage applications.  Coordination with other mortgage personnel is critical.

     

    c.     Courteously and professionally provides information to members regarding mortgage interest rates, loan to value limits, term of mortgage loans offered, closing cost estimates, and other information as deemed appropriate for employee’s level of mortgage experience and knowledge.

     

    d.     Apply accurate delivery method of disclosures to members.  Paying special attention to the accuracy and privacy of all confidential documents.

     

    e.     Record and relay messages and/or requested information with appropriate communication to mortgage loan originators or loan processors.

     

    f.      Completes disclosures and delivery in accordance with established policies and procedures,  As well as other related duties as assigned.

     

    g.     Accepts member, branch and department questions and concerns in a professional manner.

     

     

    2.   Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with members and mortgage industry professionals.

     

    a.     Courteously answers questions or promptly refers to appropriate personnel.

     

    b.     Maintains and projects the Credit Union's professional reputation. Follows Company and department dress code.

     

    c.     Arrives and ready to provide disclosures and receive telephone calls at open of business.

     

     

    3.     Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relations with area personnel and management.              

     

    a.     Assists and coordinates timely mortgage disclosures.

     

    b.     Communicates with area personnel and management regarding activities and significant problems.

     

    c.      Completes records and reports promptly and accurately.

     

    d.     Attends and participates in meetings as required.

     

     

    4.     Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

     

    a.     Maintains a clean, secure, and well maintained work area.

     

    b.     Performs related clerical and administrative functions as required.

     

    c.     Stays informed of policy and procedure changes affecting the mortgage disclosure team.

     

    d.     Actively and professionally cross-sells Credit Union services.

     

    e.     Completes special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Training/Education/Certification:

     

    • High school graduate or equivalent. 
    • Computer training and course work in general office skills preferred.

     

    Required Knowledge:

     

    • General knowledge of mortgage loan services and procedures helpful.

     

    Experience Required:

     

    • Previous experience with a full service financial institution helpful.
    • Previous experience in a call center helpful.

     

    Skills/Abilities:

     

    • Excellent communication and public relations skills.
    • Good organization skills and attentive to detail.
    • Professional appearance, dress and attitude.
    • Proficient typing abilities.
    • Ability to cooperate and work well with others.
    • Able to operated related computer applications.
