  • Overview

    Under the direction of management, develops and maintains the credit union’s Intranet used to store department information, forms, directories, branch details, legal documents, forms and other critical data required to keep internal operations running smoothly. Ensures that intranet solutions innovative, functional, responsive (mobile compatible), and that content remains accurate and compliant with ADA and other financial institution regulations.  Ensures that coding is robust and maintainable to allow integration with back-end systems, databases, API’s and web-services.



    • Enhancements/support for existing SharePoint Online and Office 365
    • Work with various business units to spec, design, build and implement SharePoint online solutions including:
      • Collaboration (e.g. Team/Project/Community sites, MySite/OneDrive)
      • Business process management (e.g. workflows, site branding, web parts, electronic forms)
      • Document Management (e.g. custom content types, policies, metadata)
      • Content Management
      • Configure and maintain Site Collections, Site Templates, Content Types, Lists and other components
      • Support all aspects of the credit union’s SharePoint environment
      • Perform in a technical lead role on complex SharePoint related projects.



    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrable experience and a minimum of 5 years of overall software development experience.

    Required Knowledge and Experience

    • Solid understanding and proven ability with SharePoint, Office 365 / SharePoint Online, SharePoint Framework (SPFX) Web parts, Visual Studio, AJAX, SQL Server, Web services, WCF, SharePoint Designer, SharePoint features, BDC/BCS, ASP.NET, .Net, WWF
    • Deep knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack with demonstrated expertise on the SharePoint platform and experience with enterprise projects on SharePoint including intranet and extranet portals as well as external web sites.
    • Experience with Central Administration, MySites, Lists, Content types, workflows, web parts, etc.
    • Working understanding of web services, BDC/BCS, Excel services, etc.
    • Experience with creation and modification of master/layout pages, web parts and other components
    • Experience gathering user requirements
    • Project management skills/experience
    • Online training and presentation skills/experience


    Proficiency with the Following:

    • SharePoint 2016, Office 365 – SharePoint Online
      • Hands-on experience in configuration of Site, List and Document Library-based solutions
      • Changing SharePoint master pages and layouts
      • Implementing SharePoint workflows
    • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, SQL, C#
    • Front-end development experience using JavaScript frameworks in conjunction with SharePoint (handlebars, rivets, angular, etc.)
    • SharePoint Framework and application model experience a plus
    • Understanding of Office 365 & SharePoint components (including Cloud-platform specific)
    • Working experience of PowerShell scripting/ automation
    • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements and processes into effective SharePoint solutions
    • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into simple solutions
    • Good communication skills, specifically: listening to customer needs, restating those needs, and documenting your work
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly and self-directed
    • Must be willing to work diligently to meet deliverable deadlines
    • Demonstrated high degree of initiative and self-guided work.
    • Ability to prioritize and plan own tasks and estimate level of effort for assigned tasks
    • Good presentation and communication skills
