Position will be responsible, under the direction of management, in supporting systems and processes necessary to obtain objectives in the Systems Management department responsibilities: “ITOM Systems Monitoring and Alerting”, “CMS Configuration Management System”, “ITSM Service Management”, “Software Asset Management” and “Change Management”. Candidate will have the ability to work independently and in conjunction with a team of specialists and engineers. Candidate will exhibit a strong willingness to learn new technologies as they relate to this position.
1. Will enable, enhance and support robust systems across the various disciplines of “Systems Monitoring and Alerting”, “ITSM”, “Configuration Management”, “Software Asset Management” and/or “Change Management”.
Configuration Management assumes the discovery and management of AFCU configuration items across all strategic platforms, databases, networks, web services and other services.
a. Plan, execute and manage the ServiceNow discovery process and configuration management database (CMDB)
b. Reconcile CMDB data when exceptions are noted between CMDB, and other authoritative production data repositories
c. Ensure that appropriate discovery ranges/rules are deployed, configured and validated on all critical production components
d. Work with Systems Monitoring and Alerting to ensure that appropriate discovery ranges/rules are being used.
e. Work with Software Asset Management to ensure SAM success.
f. Work with Change Management to ensure the use of CI’s in the change process.
g. Work with stakeholders to ensure completeness, compliance and correctness of data
2. Identify and implement best-practice solutions
a. Be informed of current best-practice
b. Be informed of changes in established tools.
c. Implement best-practice solutions that will enhance AFCU use of tools.
d. Be informed of how tools you are responsible for integrate with and use other tools in our department.
e. Gain insights into various department team’s pain points, challenges and needs, and build strong customer and stakeholder relationships to achieve shared objectives. Maintain a customer-focused mindset.
3. Establishes and maintains effective communication, coordination, and working relations with area staff.
a. Keeps stakeholders, management and team members informed of significant problems and of progress attained in reaching established objectives.

c. Design, develop and establish documentation and knowledge articles.
d. Ensure policies and procedures are well defined, recognized and regularly reviewed.
