Loan Processing Admins must be skilled and knowledgeable in all facets of AFCU Consumer Loans products. They will be responsible for performing a wide variety of member service and clerical duties related for the Loan Processing Department. Receives and processes all loan paperwork for both Inbound and Outbound Sales Areas and the Contact Centers. Assists Processors, both Inbound and Outbound Sales Teams, Contact Centers and Members with any questions that appropriately refers to their area. Quality check all loans before funding, post them to accounts, overnight checks per requested, processes all mail for the department, manages the DocuSign queues for incoming loan related documents from members, and maintains all shared e-mail inboxes for the Loan Processing and Outbound Sales departments. Conducts ongoing support and follow-up utilizing all channels of communication including phone, SMS messaging, e-mail, and mailed communication. Performs miscellaneous loan processing such as attaching documents received from members via e-mail, fax, SMS messaging, or mail. Notifies members with decisions on their requests for Collateral Insurance Waivers and Authorization of Removal/Return of Vehicle held as Collateral into or out of the United States.


1. Effective development of Member Relations, and professional performance of member service functions.

a. Professional and courteous interactions via all communication channels, including phone, SMS messaging, e-mail, and written.b. Timely and consistent follow-up.
c. Knowledgeable, informative, and accurate.
d. Appropriate referrals and recommendations.
e. Responds appropriately, and empathetically to service concerns, questions, or complications, seeking resolutions to benefit members and the Credit Union, in a prompt, professional manner.

2. Loan Processing and Fulfillment.

a. Consistently claims applications/requests from queues to be worked.
b. Completes follow-up communication and manages personal queue.
c. Properly explains, sends, and receives any additional documentation necessary to close and fund accounts and loans, utilizing all channels of communication.
d. Reviews applications for quality assurance, with an objective to reduce, and eliminate errors, and avoid potential violations or fines.
e. Obtains signature via DocuSign, and mail.

3. Effective and professional performance of assigned clerical functions.

a. Prompt and timely funding of accounts and loans upon receipt of closing documents and agreements.
b. Ensures documentation is saved, and stored properly.
c. Accurately posts data to fund accounts and loans.
d. Prepares pay-off checks, and overnight delivery.
e. Maintains supply of all paper supplies for printers, mail, and overnight delivery
f. Receives, opens, and distributes all mail, and email pertaining to processing and funding.


4. Other related duties as required or assigned.

a. Attend and participate in meetings as required.
b. Stay informed regarding legal and regulatory changes.
c. Keep work area clean, secure, and well maintained.
d. Complete special projects as assigned.
e. Complete assigned trainings, and exams.




• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current Lending Training (Preferred).

Required Knowledge:


• Thorough knowledge of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of credit union lending procedures and LoanPro.
• Is competent in all essential computer applications required for the development of CU business, and related to increased profitability of Credit Unions.
• MS Office software applications.
• Lending Classes complete (preferred) not required.

Experience Required:


• Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive credit union experience a must, and superior member service skills were demonstrated.
• Must have 1-2 years of loan processing and funding experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
