Overview

The primary responsibilities for this position are to design, develop, validate, integrate, implement, enhance, and support the ServiceNow environment to meet the needs of individual departments and the broader organization. The ability to work independently is important, but excellent communication skills and a willingness to share and collaborate with coworkers are key requirements for this position. 

Responsibilities

1. Responsibilities


• Work on configurations and customizations to modules
• Build new catalog items submitted as ServiceNow requests
• Enhance existing catalog items as required
• Follow established best practices for ServiceNow development
• Ensure proper execution of changes through dev, test, and prod instances including testing/validation plans and following established change control processes.
• Deploy and support integrations with various 3rd party solutions with ServiceNow
• Work with key stakeholders to understand requirements to provide an accurate, reliable, and maintainable solution.
• Stay up to date on ServiceNow hotfixes, patches, and upgrades to ensure the platform is current and performs correctly.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics for tracking and analysis
• Other duties as assigned


2. Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination.

 

• Keep management, team members, and other stakeholders informed of progress and issues as it pertains to assigned tasks.
• Assist other team members and willingly share knowledge.
• Review associated policies and procedures regularly.
• Ensure all communication is done in a professional manner.
• Attend and participate in meetings as required.

Qualifications

Training/Education/Certification

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • College education.
    • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • ServiceNow related certifications
  • Understanding of ITIL v3/v4

 

Required Knowledge and Experience

 

  • 2 - 4 years of ServiceNow development experience developing and editing:
    • Business Rules
    • Client Scripts
    • UI Actions
    • UI Policies
    • Custom Workflows/Flow
  • Fundamental understanding of IT Service Management
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

 

Skills/Abilities

 

  • Ability to review, understand, and deliver accurate and reliable solutions.
  • Well organized, with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan projects effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively with other team members.
  • Able to use PC, terminal keyboards, and various computer hardware.
