Performs various responsibilities across multiple Human Resources functional areas, including recruitment and staffing, training and development, employee relations, compensation, HR compliance, and performance management. Coordinates credit union activities, represents the organization at job fairs, and serves as a primary HR point of contact to assigned branches or departments. Collaborates with branch and department managers to address staffing needs, including applicant screening, hiring, and onboarding of new employees. Ensures HR operations align with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Partners with management to provide guidance on employee-related matters while performing a wide range of HR generalist and support duties.
Recruitment and Staffing
Recruit and hire qualified candidates using resources such as job boards, referrals, and networking.
Conduct pre-screening interviews and refer qualified candidates to management.
Attend job fairs and post job openings on internal and external platforms.
Track applicants through internal systems for accurate record-keeping and compliance.
Facilitate background checks, verifications, and hiring processes for new employees.
Assist with other recruitment tasks as needed.
Assist the Training Departments with the Training and Development of New Employees
Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of New Employee Orientation for the HR-related sections.
Identify training needs and design support materials as needed.
Schedule and coordinate New Employee Orientation and Teller Training with the new employees and the Training departments.
General HR Activities
Support managers and employees with performance appraisals, including updates and coordination.
Develop and maintain good employee relations, ensuring the uniform and equitable application of organizational policies and procedures.
Foster ongoing relationships with managers and employees through regular HR-related training and branch/department visits.
Coordinate employee-related activities and programs.
Ensure Effective Communication, Coordination, and Working Relationships with Credit Union Personnel, Management, and Vice Presidents
Provide assistance and support to branch/department personnel as needed.
Coordinate with branches and departments, answering questions and providing support.
Keep management informed of key activities and issues.
Attend and participate in meetings as required.
Ensure employees are informed of programs, policies, and their personnel needs are addressed.
Provide support for HR-related computer systems.
Ensure that management is informed on a regular basis of staffing levels using the PAL and other reporting methods.
Assist with resolving employee requests, complaints, and job-related issues; coordinate with the Employee Relations department as needed.
Establish and Maintain Professional Working Relationships with Applicants, Visitors, Recruitment Organizations, Industry Partners, and other Key Stakeholders
Schedule and communicate appointments and meetings effectively.
Assist with questions and problems courteously and promptly.
Obtain and convey information as needed.
Uphold and promote the Credit Union’s professional reputation and image.
Ensure Compliance with Federal and State Regulations and Legal Requirements
Ensure HR functions, including hiring, record-keeping, and terminations, comply with established Credit Union policies and legal regulations.
Monitor and update personnel programs to meet changing needs and requirements.
Act as a Designated Employer Representative (DER) for the Company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy
Help administer the company’s drug and alcohol policy, including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing.
Coordinate with applicants/new hires, employees, and management on testing requirements and processes.
Perform Other Related Duties as Required or Assigned
Perform a variety of general HR support tasks and contribute as a team player.
Assist with the implementation of company-wide HR initiatives and projects as needed.
Depending on the area of assignment, may collaborate with the compensation team on job evaluations and other related responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with Human Resources practices, including policies, federal and state laws, regulations, and employee benefit programs.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professionalism in all interactions to foster a positive and respectful workplace.
Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and provide recommendations for policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar human resources role.
Experience working with Infor Global HR.
Experience working with iCIMS, LinkedIn, and Indeed.
Credit Union or other financial institution experience.
