Overview

The HR Support Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and office coordination duties in support of the HR Division, supervising the HR Receptionist and HR Administrative Assistant positions, and providing day-to-day support for the SVP of Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support and Office Coordination
    • Provide direct administrative support to the SVP of HR
    • Coordinate and streamline daily office operations, including scheduling, supply management, file organization, and administrative tasks, to ensure seamless workflow and operational efficiency
    • Address inquires and resolve issues efficiently and professionally, ensuring a positive experience
    • Collaborate with branches and departments to deliver assistance and effectively resolve concerns
  • Supervision
    • Supervise the HR Receptionist and HR Administrative Assistant positions, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
    • Ensure front desk operations run smoothly, including visitor management and phone reception
    • Delegate tasks effectively to maintain operational efficiency
  • Employee Data Management
    • Accurately process sensitive employee data, including new hires, terminations, transfers, pay changes, and other updates in HCM, Timecard application, etc.
    • Maintain organized and current employee files
  • Event and Special Project Coordination
    • Assist with event planning, as required, such as company celebrations and staff recognitions
    • Coordinate and complete special projects, including Service Star initiatives
  • Team and Management Collaboration
    • Maintain clear and proactive communication with management, providing timely updates on activities, progress, and potential issues
    • Support HR Division personnel as needed
    • Actively participate in meetings, providing updates and sharing relevant information
  • Related Duties
    • Ensure the credit union’s professional reputation is upheld through courteous and efficient service
    • Process fee waivers for employees
    • Assist with additional administrative tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years’ related work experience
  • Experience in a lead or supervisory role, preferably in a HR environment
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively, contributing to team success and maintaining a positive work atmosphere
  • Understanding of office management and clerical best practices
  • Effective organizational, time management, and planning abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in computer applications and typing
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
  • Willingness to learn and apply new knowledge to enhance performance
  • Proven ability to ensure accuracy and maintain a high level of attention to detail

Physical Requirements

  • Nearly Continuously: Hearing, listening, talking
  • Often: Walking, sitting, repetitive hand motion (such as writing or typing), bending, twisting, lifting (up to 30 pounds)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with HR systems, such as Infor GHR/Lawson, Performance Pro, and UKG Timecard
  • Additional training or experience in office management, human resources, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of HR-based policies, procedures, and laws
