Overview

Responsible for helping to manage all Self-Service Device (ATMs, IVTs, Instant Issuance machines, etc.) related activities from daily maintenance, to cash orders, to problem resolution, to missing items (deposits, cash, cards, etc), to filling claim letters when applicable. Responsible for working and communicating with vendors, updating Self-Service Device information and for visits to all branches – ensuring the communication channel is open and their Self-Service Device(s) are operating efficiently. Works with all contacts to ensure all Self-Service Device installations are up to America First Credit Union standards. Helps with Self-Service Device testing and certifications. Works with leadership and Sr. ATM Technician(s) to ensure all Self-Service Device issues and calls are handled diligently, logically and per the service providers Service Level of Agreement. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

1. Participates in the development and implementation of Self-Service Device policies and procedures.

  • Helps to ensure that Self-Service Device functions are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Communicates with external sources by attending meetings, planning agendas, and creating operational protocols.
  • Keeps in contact with AFCU Help Desk to ensure all questions and concerns relating to Self-Service Devices are answered, and their training and tools are comprehensive.

 

2. Assists as needed in coordinating all Self-Service Device activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Coordinating with secured facilities (IRS, HAFB, etc.) to ensure our vendor access lists are current.
  • Keeping the AFCU, PLUS, STAR and CO-OP ATM locators current, as well as the year-to-year growth chart.
  • Cleanings, operation, vendor accountability, coordination, policies and procedures.
  • Filling Self-Service Device supply orders (envelopes, balance sheets, receipt rolls and any Instant Issuance supplies) from branches to vendors.
  • Self-Service Device installations, replacements, upgrades and removals.
  • Mobile/event ATM deployments and coordination.
  • Updating/entering all information within the Self-Service Device information database to ensure accurate and detailed information remains current.
  • Resolving missing deposits, cash and cards.
  • Maintenance and balancing of campus Self-Service Devices.

 

3. Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of Self-Service Device functions.

  • Helps to prepare a monthly comprehensive statistical report on Self-Service Device operations.
  • Helps to ensure that Self-Service Device, EFT System and Network operations function smoothly and efficiently.

 

4. Help’s in establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relations with Credit Union personnel and with management.

  • Assists branches and related departments as required. Answers questions and resolves problems as needed.
  • Supports ATM Services and Help Desk and Call Center Personnel.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required.

 

5. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

  • Keeps work area clean, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Training/Education/Certification: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • College coursework in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Additional business training preferred.

 

Required Knowledge: 

  • Outlook, Windows, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Self-Service device (ATM and ILT) software and hardware knowledge preferred.

 

Experience Required: 

  • At least 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Valid driver license and trailer towing experience - including maneuvering in tight places.
  • The ability to configure and track Self-Service Device software settings to ensure proper operation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.

 

Skills/Abilities: 

  • Understanding of Credit Union operations.
  • Knowledge of Self-Service Device functions and applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage work flows.
  • Able to operate computer related applications.
  • Solid accounting and math skills.
  • Good mechanical skills.
