Under the direction of the manager is responsible for performing a wide variety of customer services and lending functions related to the Indirect Department. Will answer incoming dealer calls regarding lending questions, loan applications, loan pricing, loan stipulations on all RV and Auto loan applications through the indirect channel. Assists dealerships in professionally answering a broad range of questions in all lending regions. In addition to answering all Indirect Underwriting phone calls, verifies proof of income on loan applications that is requested by the underwriter, this incudes paystubs, w-2’s, personal and business tax returns. Responds to dealers through electronic communication on a wide variety of dealership questions and concerns. Ensures proper imaging of necessary records. Performs miscellaneous loan processing activities as assigned. Follows up with Funders and Underwriters to ensure applications are approved and funded quickly.
1. Effectively completing assigned loan functions.
a. Has discussions on loan options, credit criteria, interest rates, and loan documentation in such a manner as to elicit a positive response from the dealer.
b. Follows up with dealers on loan requests for additional information, documentation, and counter-offers.
c. Give loan denials and explain reasons and provide alternative options.
2. Establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relationships with dealers.
a. Responds to dealer’s requests and questions promptly and courteously. Projects and maintains the Credit Union's professional reputation.
b. Researches and resolves member account and loan issues, problems, and concerns.
c. Provides miscellaneous information to dealers including: pre-approval information, vehicle values, membership information, loan payments, payoff request, loan terms, and rates.
d. Maintains the Credit Union’s professional reputation and service standards when speaking with dealerships, internal and external contacts
3. The effective performance of assigned functions of the department.
a. Complete income verification accurately and in a timely manner.
b. Communicates with dealerships through electronic communication.
e. Main contact for dealerships needing assistance
f. Proficient in all regions for product pricing, reserves, terms, and loan to values.
g. Proficient in knowledge of competitors pricing for rate matching criteria.
h. High knowledge of credit unions consumer lending policy and procedures and signing authority.
4. The effective and professional performance of Indirect Lending functions.
a. Answers and solves problems for dealerships by listening, collecting data, finding answers.
b. Primary employee for answering phone call volume from Dealerships in all regions.
5. Establishing and maintaining effective business relations with Dealerships and other departments.
a. Receives and screens telephone calls. Answers routine questions or directs them to appropriate personnel. Records and relays messages.
b. Assists with questions and problems courteously and promptly.
c. Maintains the Credit Union's professional reputation.
6. Establishing and maintaining effective working relations with Credit Union personnel and with management.
a. Coordinates with dealerships and related departments and obtains or conveys information as needed.
b. Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
c. Attends and participates in meetings as required.
d. Communicates in a professional manner with Dealerships and Departments.
7. Other related duties as required or assigned.
